Kitchen Reno Part One

For the last three and a half weeks, Chez Summers has undergone a transformation, namely the destruction and gradual reconstruction of our kitchen. As promised to my colleagues yesterday I am sharing with all a little visual show of the work that's gone into this project so far.

Week One - Wanton Destruction

I refer to this as the traditional "before" photo.



And here is the "in progress" shot.




Week Two - We painted

The colour we used was called pickle. Upon reflection Steff thinks it's more of pistachio.



Week Three - It's all about the floor

Clod makes like a chameleon and attempts to blend in with the surroundings. In this case the sub floor.




And then there was the tiling, glorious tiling.





Week four - I now want my normal life back. Now. Right now.

I hit a bit of a wall this week, but I can see the end of the tunnel. We grouted on the weekend - not much to show there really. Today we receive the new cabinets and begin installation.
